About
I grew up in Maine, and when I moved to Oregon to attend college I fell in love with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. After undergrad I supported my outdoor pursuits by working in cafes and coffee shops in the Colombia River Gorge and Northern California (Lake Tahoe). I am an avid skier and snowboarder, and have recently taken up backcountry skiing. I was drawn to architecture because of the practical design opportunities that it offers. If I am not working in studio, climbing up or sliding down a mountain, I can be found riding my bike, knitting, cooking or reading.
travel
While I was earning my M.Arch I had the privilege to participate in many abroad programs through the University of Washington: Master's studio with Glenn Murcutt on his farm in New South Wales Australia, Architecture in Scandinavia summer quarter, scan|design Master's studio with COBE founder Dan Stubbergaard in Copenhagen. In addition to participating in abroad opportunities I have also spent time in Costa Rica, Brazil and Europe. I looking forward to traveling to Japan and other places I have yet to discover in the future.
